အမူအရာျပ စကားဆက္မ်ားပါေသာ Clause ျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
Type this again as I showed you a moment ago.
လြန္ခဲ႔တဲ႔ အခ်ိန္အနည္းငယ္အတြင္းက ငါျပထားတဲ႔ အတိုင္း ဒီစာအုပ္ကုိ ျပန္ရုိက္ပါ။

4. Adverbial Clauses of reason
အေၾကာင္းျပခ်က္ စကားဆက္ပါေသာ Adverbial Clause ျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
As/because/ since there was very little support, the strike was not successful.
ေထာက္ခံမႈ အနည္းငယ္သာရေသာေၾကာင္႔ သပိတ္သည္ မေအာင္ျမင္ပါ။

5. Adverbial Clauses of condition
အေျခအေနျပစကားဆက္မ်ားပါေသာ Adverbial Clauseျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
If the rain stops, we’ll be able to go for a walk.
မုိးတိတ္လွ်င္ ငါတုိ႔ လမ္းေလွ်ာက္ထြက္နိဳင္တာေပါ႔။
အေျခအေနျပ စကားဆက္မ်ားအေၾကာင္း ေဆြးေႏြးလွ်င္ “if” ပုံစံ (၃)မ်ဳိးအေၾကာင္း အရိပ္အျမြတ္ေျပာျပပါမည္။ အကယ္၍ အက်ယ္သိလုိက ႏွစ္သက္ရာ သဒၵါစာအုပ္မွာ ရွာေဖြၾကည့္ေစလုိပါသည္။ အဆင္႔ျမင္႔ သဒၵါစာအုပ္မ်ားတြင္ “if”ပုံစံကုိ ထည့္သြင္းထားသည္မွာ စာဖတ္သူကုိ မ်ားစြာရွင္းျပရမည္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ဤAdverbial Clauseက႑တြင္ စာဖတ္သူ ျမန္မာလုိ အဓိပၸါယ္ဘာသာျပန္လြယ္ရုံမွ် ေဖာ္ျပပါမည္။
“If” ပုံစံ (၃)မ်ဳိး
1. If+S+Present, S+will+V.
If I lose my job, I will go abroad.
အလုပ္မရွိရင္ ငါ နိဳင္ငံျခားသြားမယ္။
2. If+S+Past, S+Would+V.
If I lost my job, I would go abroad.
ငါသာ အလုပ္မရွိခဲ႔ရင္ ငါနိဳင္ငံျခားသြားမွာ။
(အခု အလုပ္ရွိတယ္၊ သြားဖုိ႔ မလုိပါ-ဟုဆုိလုိ)
3. If+S+had+past participle, S+ Would have+past participle.
If I had lost my job, I would have gone abroad.
အလုပ္သာမရွိခဲ႔ရင္ ငါ နိဳင္ငံျခား သြားေကာင္းသြားမယ္။
(အလုပ္လည္းရွိ၊ လစာလည္းေကာင္း၍ ျဖစ္နိဳင္ေျခ မရွိသေလာက္ အေျခအေနကုိျပ)
“If”ကုိ “လွ်င္” “ရင္”နဲ႔သာ အဓိပၸါယ္ျပန္သည္။
အထက္ပါပုံစံ (၃)မ်ဳိးမွ ခဲြထြက္လာေသာ ပုံစံကြဲမ်ားမွာ အလြန္မ်ားပါသည္။ ၄င္းတုိ႔အနက္ စာဖတ္သူ အခက္အခဲျဖစ္နိဳင္ေသာ ပုံစံအနည္းငယ္ကုိ ရွင္းျပပါမည္။
ပုံစံ -၁-

If he should call, tell him I’ll ring back.
သူ ဖုန္းေခၚရင္ ငါျပန္ဆက္မယ္လုိ႔ ေျပာလုိက္။
အထက္ပါပုံစံကုိ 1. If+shouldကုိ ‘if’ေဖ်ာက္ျပီး ေရးနိဳင္သည္။
Should he call, tell him I’ll ring back.
အဓိပၸါယ္တူပါသည္။ “လွ်င္”နဲ႔သာ ဘာသာျပန္ပါ။
ပုံစံ-၂-
Imperative+conjunction+clause
အမိန္႔ေပး/ခုိင္း+စကားဆက္+၀ါက်က႑ ေမတၱာရပ္/အၾကံျပဳ
(ဘာသာျပန္ေသာအခါ “လွ်င္”ျဖင္႔သာ ဘာသာျပန္သည္။)
ဥပမာ-
Fail to pay and, they’ll cut off the electricity.
ေငြေပးဖုိ႔ ပ်က္ကြယ္လွ်င္ သူတုိ႔ မီးျဖတ္လိမ္႔မယ္။
Tell us what to do and we’ll get on with it.
ကၽြန္ေတာ္တုိ႔ ဘာလုပ္ရမယ္ဆုိတာေျပာရင္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ဆက္လုပ္မွာေပါ႔။
Stop eating sweets, or you won’t get any dinner.
အခ်ဳိေတြ စားတာ မရပ္ဘူးဆုိရင္ မင္း ညစာစားလုိ႔ရမွာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။
Take a taxi, otherwise you will muss your train.
အငွားယာဥ္မေခၚဘူးဆုိရင္ မင္း ရထားလြတ္သြားမယ္။

အစိုးရကသာ အခြန္ေလ်ာ႔ခ်ရင္ ေစ်းက်မွာ။ (ဆုိလုိသည္မွာ-အစုိးရက အခြန္မေလ်ာ႔ ဟုဆုိလုိ)
ယင္း၀ါက် “if”ကုိ ျဖဳတ္ျပီး wereကုိ ေရွ႕ထုတ္ေရးနိဳင္သည္။ အဓိပၸါယ္ တူသည္။
Were the government to cut tax, price would fall. {were –if}
ပုံစံ-၄-
Had+s+past participle
ပင္မအမွတ္ (၃)ပုံစံ if+s+had+past participleပုံစံကုိ ‘if’ေဖ်ာက္ျပီး ေရးထားျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။ အဓိပၸါယ္တူပါသည္။
ဥပမာ-
Had the management acted sooner, the strike wouldn’t have happened.
အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေရးဌာနက အလွ်င္အျမန္ေဆာင္ရြက္ခဲ႔လွ်င္ သပိတ္တုိက္ပြဲ ျဖစ္စရာ အေၾကာင္းမရွိပါ။ (ဆုိလုိသည္မွာ-အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေရးဌာနက ဘာမွ် မေဆာင္ရြက္ခဲ႔ဟု ဆုိလုိ)
‘if’ႏွင္႔ အဓိပၸါယ္တူ စကားဆက္မ်ား-
As long as - လွ်င္
Assuming that – လွ်င္
Even if – ဆုိရင္ေတာင္မွ
If only – သုိ႔မွသာ
On the condition that – လွ်င္

သူ႔စကားသံကုိ ခင္ဗ်ားၾကားရရင္ သူ႔ကုိ ၀န္ၾကီးခ်ဳပ္လုိ႔ေတာင္ ထင္မွာ။

ခင္ဗ်ား အကူအညီသာမရရင္ ဒဲဒါ ကၽြန္ေတာ္လုပ္လုိ႔ရမွာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။

6. Adverbial clauses of concession
ဆန္႔က်င္ဘက္ အနက္ျဖစ္ေသာ “သုိ႔ေပမယ္႔” “ေသာ္ျငားလည္း”စေသာ စကားဆက္ although, considering that, though, even though, even if, much as …, while, where as, however much, badly, good, no matter howတုိ႔ျဖင္႔ ေရးထားေသာ Clauseမ်ားျဖစ္ပါသည္။
ဥပမာ-
Although I felt sorry for him, I was secretly pleased that he was having difficulties.
သူ႔အတြက္ ငါစိတ္မေကာင္းေပမယ္႔ သူ႔အခက္အခဲေတြ႕ေနတာ ၾကိတ္ျပီး ၀မ္းသာမိတယ္။
I intend to go to Singapore even if air fares go up again.
ေလယာဥ္ခ ထပ္တက္သြားေပမယ္႔ စင္ကာပူကုိ ငါသြားဖုိ႔ စိတ္ကူမိတယ္။
Much as I’d like to help, there isn’t a lot I can do.
ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ကူညီခ်င္ေပမယ္႔ အမ်ားၾကီးေတာ႔ မတက္နိဳင္ဘူး။

7. Adverbial Clauses of Purpolse
ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ျပစကားဆက္မ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ “ေစရန္၊ အလုိ႔ငွာ၊ စုိးလုိ႔”ဟု ဘာသာျပန္ရေသာ စကားဆက္မ်ား so that, in order that, in case, lest and for fear thatတုိ႔ျဖင္႔ ေရးထားေသာ clauseမ်ားျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
I’ve arrived early so that I will get a good view.
ျမင္ကြင္းေကာင္းေကာင္းရေစရန္ ငါေစာေစာေရာက္တယ္။
I arrived early so as not to miss anything.
ဘယ္အရာမွ မလြတ္သြားေစရန္အလုိ႔ငွာ ငါေစာေစာေရာက္တယ္။
In case, lest, for fear that…..အဆုိပါစကားဆက္မ်ားသည္ “စုိးလုိ႔”ဟု အနက္ျပန္ရသည္။
I asked them to ring first lest we were out.
ငါတုိ႔ အျပင္ေရာက္ေနမွာစုိးလုိ႔ အရင္ဖုန္းဆက္ဖုိ႔ ငါ သူတုိ႔ကုိ မွာထားတယ္။

8. Adverbial Clauses of result
အက်ဳိးျပ စကားဆက္မ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ “ေလာက္ေအာင္ကုိ”ဟု အနက္ျပန္ရသည္။ ‘so…that, ‘such…that’မ်ားပါေသာ စကားဆက္ျဖင္႔ေရးသည့္ clauseမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
His reactions are so quick that no one can match him.
သူ႔ကုိ မည္သူမွ် မယွဥ္နိဳင္ေလာက္ေအာင္ သူ႔တုန္႔ျပန္မႈမ်ားက ျမန္သည္။
They are such wonderful players that no one can beat them.
ဘယ္သမွ် သူတို႔ကုိ မနိဳင္ေလာက္ေအာင္ ေတာ္ေသာ အားကစားသမားမ်ားျဖစ္သည္။

9. Adverbial clauses of comparison
ႏႈိင္းယွဥ္ျခင္းျပ စကားဆက္မ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ “သေလာက္” “ထက္”ဟု ဘာသာျပန္သည့္ ‘as…as’ more…than’ ‘less…than’တုိ႔ပါေသာ clauseမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္။
ဥပမာ-
Thazin is as beautiful as Diana.
ဒုိင္ယာနာလွသေလာက္ သဇင္လွပါတယ္။
He is not so tall as his brother.
သူ႔ညီ အရပ္ရွည္သေလာက္ သူ မရွည္ပါ။
His sister is quicker than he.
သူ႕ထက္ သူ႕ညီမက ပုိျမန္တယ္။
The more you practice the better you get.
မင္းေလ႔က်င္႔ေလေလ ပုိရေလေလပဲ။

Adverbial Clausesမ်ားသည္ အမ်ဳိးအစား အမ်ားဆုံးႏွင္႔ အသုံးအမ်ားဆုံး ၀ါက်မ်ားျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ပုိမုိ၍ ေလ႔လာသင္႔ပါသည္။
